Logos Space Services Receives Spectrum License from FCC
Mountain View, CA, February 5, 2026 – Logos Space Services, a satellite company purpose-built to provide high-performance connectivity for government and enterprises, today announced that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted its license application for satellite spectrum. With this authorization, Logos can move ahead and build an enterprise-focused, secure low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation that is resilient to jamming and electronic warfare.
“Thank you to Chairman Carr and the FCC for recognizing Logos’ innovative approach to satellite spectrum in the K, Q, and V bands and granting us our license,” said Milo Medin, founder and CEO of Logos Space Services. “We also want to thank the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and the other federal agencies we’ve worked with over the last year to enable us to build a new commercial capability in orbit. Chairman Carr, the Space Bureau, and its staff have said moving quickly is essential for U.S. competitiveness in space, and this grant demonstrates they mean what they say. We are also fortunate to have the backing of Thomas Tull, who co-founded the company and encouraged me to pursue this opportunity, and the U.S. Innovative Technology Fund (USIT), who have a track record in supporting leading defense and space innovators.”
With the growing threats of cyberattacks, hacking, and jamming, enterprise and government users require secure networks. Logos combines several cutting-edge technologies — including novel uses of spectrum in nontraditional bands, narrow beams, highly spread control signals, and closed user groups — to deliver a global, private network in orbit.
“This latest milestone is a testament to the caliber and importance of the next-generation system Logos is building. Secure, resilient communications infrastructure is a foundational requirement for both global competitiveness and enterprise operations, and receiving this approval meaningfully advances Logos' deployment roadmap,” said Peter Tague, Managing Partner at USIT, an investor in Logos along with others at the forefront of technological innovation, including Anduril Technologies and Stoke Space. “We’re proud to support Logos in its mission to deliver scaled, space-based communications to enterprises globally.”
Logos Space Services is building a 4,178-satellite LEO constellation providing secure, multigigabit connectivity across the globe. The FCC has granted its license to operate in the K, Q, and V bands.
